an early Santa sighting

After a late lunch at our favorite spot, Bagels and Brew, we got to see Santa as he visited Heritage Park... plus he left his boots behind for us to try on!

bella: christmas concert

Yesterday was our annual Christmas concert and I was very excited to share songs with all the Mommys and Daddys of the people in my class. Here are just a few pics of us getting on stage and my Daddy will post some video soon for you to hear the sweet sweet music.

family Christmas pics

Just before Bella's Christmas concert we had an impromptu photoshoot by our Christmas tree and wanted to share these pics with you!

time to get a christmas tree

We put our Santa hats on and headed to the local Christmas tree lot to get a big 5-6 foot tree! Running around the Christmas tree lot was really fun, but not as much funny as helping Daddy hand all the lights and ornaments on the tree later that night.

ice skating at the spectrum

After Thanksgiving turkey we had to do some exercise to burn off the fat, so we went iceskating at the Irvine Spectrum. It was Leighton's first time, and Bella & Daddy's second time. We started off a little scared and slippery on the ice but by the end of the session Leighton was doing good when helped by Daddy or best friend Phil, Bella could skate all by herself without holding on and Daddy managed to not get an icy butt the whole time!

turkey trotting

Parents got dragged out of bed early on Thanksgiving morning to run in the Turkey Trot in Yorba Linda. Nana, Poppa, Uncle Aaron, Aunt Justine, Nolan and Colin all ran in the warm-up 5K race, but then it was time for Leighton and Bella to run the main event, the Kids 1K Race. It was a long 1K but both did great, Bella was really fast and Leighton didn't quit and had cousin Colin supporting him the whole way! It was a well earned Turkey meal that afternoon.
