leighton: january's favourite things

Smiling: I love to smile.. after I wake up from a nap, at my sister, at my parents, at strangers, at inanimate objects. Sleeping: Mmmmm sleep. Put me on my stomach for a nap and I am out for hours! Sitting Up: I am trying to sit up, I don't know how, but I want it. I love it when my parents help me sit up. Spitting Up: I don't mind a little vomit, any time of the day. Watch out, I can go dribble style, chunky, or full projectile. I have a lot of versatility. HDTV: If you need me to settle down, just plop me in front of the plasma TV, just make sure it is on one of the HD channels. I need to be careful, I may be turning into a HD snob like my Dad. Bath Time: I enjoy a good bath, it relaxes me, just not enough that you need to drain and wash the tub (unwanted floaters). My parents appreciate that.

bella: january's favorite things

Check me toes: I love to pull my socks off and get rid of the fuzz between my toes. I do this at least half-a-dozen times a day. One of my favorite places to do this is while I am in my carseat. Chapstick: I love to put chapstick on my lips, keep chapstick in my jean pockets, put chapstick on my parents' lips, as well as on an unsuspecting Leighton! M&M's: I love to eat them, ask for them, look for them, request them, and share them! Dorothy: From the Wiggles. She is on my underpants that I get to wear if I go on the big toilet. I love Dorothy the Dinosaur Taking Pictures: Daddy showed me how to take pics with a little digital camera. Even though there is a view screen I like to hold the camera right up by my eye. My Backpack: What can I say. I pray for it, I care for it, and I like to tell people about it. Church School: I really like to going to my special class, nearly as much as I love seeing my Mummy or Daddy when they come and pick me up. Daddy asked me what I learned there yesterday. I said "Jesus". He liked my answer!

bella: nana got me some shoes!

Nana was sooo nice to get me these sweet sparkling shoes... I love to wear them, even if I have my pyjamas on. I hope the bright sparkle doesn't hurt your eyes as you view the pictures online.

happy australia day!

bella: amelia's party

I had a really fun time at Amelia's party today... first I got my face painted! I got one purple (purkle) flower, and one pink flower. Then, I got to ride on a pony, which was my first animal ride, and I started excited, but finished a little scared. Then, I got to try my hand at beating up the pinata. I didn't bring the candy down, but I think I caused some damage!

bella: lazy sunday

It was a lazy day this morning... I got to spend some time in the car working on my driving skills, help Mum sweep up, and take a little nap with Mum!

leighton: cowboy outfit

Leighton suited up in this cool little outfit (thanks Courtney Gause), to Amelia's 5th Birthday Party this afternoon...

leighton: 3 months on

Well, it's official, I am just about a quarter of a year old! I am working on my smile, my coordination and my projectile vomiting. It's all going very well, and I am proud to say that I can sleep through the night (my parents are even prouder!)

bella: my backpack

Before we went to Seattle, Daddy got me this sweet purple backpack. I got to roll it into the airport, put it through security (with my shoes), walk on the plane with it, keep my toys and books in it, and keep Wowo (my dog) in it. I love my backpack, and I pray for my backpack. I can't wait to take it to Australia on the plane with me, and I got to take it away this weekend when I went away to Napa with Nana. Everyone should have a backpack!

the prayer of Bella

I asked Bella to pray the other night before bed... this was her prayer... Dear Jesus Me Mummy Me Daddy Nanna Poppa Alex Alex Mummy Alex Daddy Me Backpack Mummy Daddy Backpack Pause More Silence Amen. Thank goodness someone is praying for our backpacks!

bella & leighton: trip to seattle

We had lot's of fun on our little trip to Seattle, and Daddy wrote out some highlights for us! - Bella got her own backpack for the flight and very proudly pulled it around the airport and on to the plane - Leighton had his first ever flight and did great - Bella got to go to the Children's Museum in downtown Seattle and have some good old-fashion Seattle indoor fun! - Bella & Leighton got to sleep in the closet together at our friends' house - Bella spent lots of time playing with her friends Sim, Baby Jed, Alex, Caleb, Liam and Jadyn - Leighton went outlet shopping with his Mum - Leighton got used to wearing a beanie, and braving the cold while getting in and out of the car - Bella kept taking her shoes and socks off in the car, until her parents made her walk out of the car in the cold weather to the house! A good time was had by all!

leighton: first flight

Well, this picture is actually from Leighton's second flight, but you get the idea! He did great on all the flights, including takeoff and landing, and with some spare seats on the flights, he even got to sleep on his stomach! No poops, no projectiles, all good!

bella: sleeping from seattle

Daddy took this picture of me after I fell asleep on the plane. I played for so long, with the tray tables and the seatbelts, and I finally just dropped to sleep... the armrest tasted pretty good though!
