pumpkin patch

We got out and about to the natural and organic pumpkin patch that sprung up and grew at the Laguna Hills Mall Parking Lot... Note from Leighton: It's taken me a year, but I just figured out that I have a fear of large orange objects... namely pumpkins. Seriously, they freak me out.

leighton: i'm 1 today!

Yes, on this day last year I was born! It's been a pretty good year, everything from having my umbilical cord cut, to eating real food all by myself, to being able to say Mama, Dada and other great words. i hope the second year is as good as the first. Above are some pics of cards and presents I received from Grandma and Pa, the mailman came all the way from Australia. oh, and don't you love my new goofy smile?!

bella: leaving on a jet plane

This morning I got on a plane! Nana, Poppa, and I are going all the way from Los Angeles to Orlando for a weeks' holiday with my cousins Lauren and Pierce. I am going to be brave when I miss my Mummy and Daddy, and I am going to call them every night. I already called Daddy this morning once we got on the plane to tell him that I made it on the plane. Daddy sometimes gets a little crazy when we travel, so I just wanted to make sure he was alright!

leighton's update

Hi, this is Leighton, thought I would let you know the latest happenings in my exciting life! -I can't walk quite yet, but I crawl like a banchee, I love standing up and walking being held by Bella on my tippy-toes. -I really don't care for that baby food stuff, I like a real meal, just something off of Bella's plate, or my parents' plate. -I really like all the cars I got from my birthday party, and I can scoot a car along the ground really good. -I still really like to sleep at least 11.5hrs a night. My parents love me for this. -I love crawling all over Bella... but sometimes I pull her hair a little too much. -I don't really spit up any more, but everyone once in a while I like to give Mom and Dad a glimpse of life as "spew-child" -I turn 1 year old this week!
